Located on the “Paris End” of Collins Street, Bistrot d’Orsay’s interior evokes the French capital with its trompe l’oeil ceiling, a towering vintage French poster, dark wood paneling, and soft lighting. With a spectacular view of the ornate Regent Theatre directly opposite, Bistrot d’Orsay boasts one of Melbourne’s best restaurant views.

Bistrot d’Orsay prides itself on expertly prepared Provençal Mediterranean French cuisine with attentive and knowledgeable service. The lunch and dinner menus feature French bistro classics prepared with flair, alongside a variety of other enticing dishes. The bistro is also renowned for its exquisite desserts.

A major feature of the menu is the use of locally sourced produce. All dairy products, most fruits, and vegetables originate from Victoria. Our Boer goat, eye fillet, beef cheek, and Berkshire pork are all sourced from specific, high-quality producers within Victoria.

An extensive wine list, regarded as one of Australia’s best, is another important part of the Bistrot d’Orsay experience. It has received multiple awards from publications like Gourmet Traveller Wine magazine, with expertly chosen selections from top international and Australian/NZ wine regions.
